Jeremy and Hogan on Veterans Day awaiting the first UNC game of the season! This game was like no other, they played on a ship and did an awesome tribute to our men and women in uniform!
This is Miss Kaitlyn (aka: one of my battle buddies). We met via facebook. I know what you're thinking already, "she invited some stranger into her home". Yes I did :). Kaitlyn and I had been chatting on FB for a little over a year and when I found out she was coming to welcome home Andrew (her soldier) and needed a place to stay I just couldn't help but offer up our guest room to her. Kaitlyn spent Thanksgiving with us also and Andrew (her hubby to be) came home shortly after that!
Now onto Thanksgiving!
Table set! I was excited about this past Thanksgiving because it was the first I actually cooked the whole meal. Our first Thanksgiving (2009) we spent here at Ft Hood with friends at their house. I did the pumpkin pies. Year before last (2010), Jeremy was deployed and I had two Thanksgiving meals, one with my family and one with his!
We munched on cocktail weenies, taco dip and punch until the big meal was served!

Jeremy, Andy and Kaitlyn! Andy, (in case some of you didn't know) is who I babysit for! His wifey and baby girl went to Missouri for Thanksgiving and Andy had to stay behind because he had to work so he joined us for dinner!
